In 1926, article said that he had a "dandy fast ball when in condition", but "is inclined to lose effectiveness quite often" due to his arm being frequently sore. source. Another 1926 article called him the slowest pitcher in the International League (source).
BR says he was 5'10", but a 1922 article calls him 5'6" (source). Same article says the developing of his change-up was what allowed him to pitch in the majors.
