1927-4-10 Last year managed & pitched the Bellevue Athletics to the Sarpy-Cass County League pennant. Was going to retire this year but they convinced him to play first base, at least.

1951-10-31 Comments on obit notice of a few days ago; many people did not know he was a noted amateur pitcher.
