        "The clubs will be furnished with the best outfittings. The same uniforms that are used by nearly every National League club will be furnished and several measures have already been sent in. 
        The Eisenstadts will wear what is known as the "Pittsburg" uniform. The trousers and blouse will be of a bluish gray, set off with a handsome jacket. The Kerns will have a like material, but the trimmings will be different."

    1906-11-06 Charges made against Orndorff of throwing games. If they are not disproved he will be banned. 
    1906-11-07 Orndorff replies
    1906-12-08 teams axed from Trolley League, including champion Wagners, are forming a new league.
    1907-4-02 Missouri-Illinois Trolley League and Illinois Trolley League will respect each other's contracts. 
    1907-6-27 Kulage of White Seals suspended his team indefinitely after double-loss to Ben Millers. Of 69 applicants for vacancies cannot decide who to pick. 
    1908-10-11 beginning 10-17 three-game series will be played between Maroons and Nadjas. 
    1908-10-18 play today. Phil Kavanaugh of Maroons has made 6 doubles, 7 triples, 3 homers, and 23 stolen bases. Welch had 17-2 record, 7 doubles, and 6 triples. 
     1908-12-31 City League and Trolley League will most likely combine. In 1907 City League Orphan Boys beat Gillespies in interleague championship. "The Trolley League has existed under one name or another for something like fifteen years"

    1909-5-10 Herrmann of National Commission has promised to encourage Trolley League as long as it does not harbor ineligible players. Trolley League officials have been pushing for recognition; this is a start.

      1908-10-11 beginning 10-17 three-game series will be played between Maroons and Nadjas. Hardin of Nadjas is one of finest pitchers St. Louis has ever produced. He outclasses any hurler in the Trolley League.

    1941-3-29 article protesting suspension of Butch Scheffel (milb) and Virgil Kitzmiller for contract jumping. Article ends up criticizing the institution of the reserve clause.

1902-9-28 St. Louis Diels will play Alton Blues; $100 wagered. John Terry will pitch for Diels, Eddie Herr will pitch for Blues. 
1902-10-05 "With John Terry in the box, the St. Louis Diels expect to defeat the strong Moberly Signals at Moberly this afternoon in a game on which hinges the semi-professional championship of the state. The Moberly team has made a great record against teams throughout the state, which the Diels have tackled a large number of out-of-town teams this season.
